Mission
Statement
The Monterey
County Elections Office has a team of dedicated officials who
provide leadership and coordination to deliver responsive and
innovative services which support and enhance one of the finest
communities in the United States. The administration of all
public elections, held within Monterey County, is the predominant
role of the Monterey County Elections Office.
What We Do
The Monterey County Elections Department keeps the voter registration lists and runs all elections within Monterey County, from federal elections down to the local elections.
Our goal is to run elections with the highest level of integrity while offering high quality and efficient customer service. We strive to improve our services by working closely with the public.
We are a small team of dedicated people who provide services to voters, cities, school districts and others in Monterey County in six program areas.

We provide services in English and Spanish in order to follow the Voting Rights Act.
